Carnegie's 2nd Influence

In 1905 Andrew Carnegie formed The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. This Program has influenced America because it works to improve teaching and learning in our country. This Foundation is still running today and very involved. Some of the things they have done are the founding of the Educational Testing Service and they created the Graduate Record Examination. This program has strived to improve the education process and they have successfully done so for many years. They were a leader in the effort for Pell Grants which helps low-and middle-income families. Without Andrew Carnegie’s Foundation we would not have the same wonderful education system we have now and even though are education programs have a few flaws; they would be a lot worse without The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
